1. Welcome From The Publisher

Well, here we are, in the aftermath of my first successful
joint venture. And what a ride it was.

The first two days of the Mega Fire Sale were just a blur
and very exciting indeed.

But I must say that none of it would have been possible if
not for a few people in particular. For instance, the
contributors and my mentor.

So, how did this all come about? I can honestly say that
it was no big secret method, or no ultimate secret. Nope.
It started out as a trip to Denver.

To be honest, I came back from the Mega Seminar all pumped
and ready for action. The speakers were very dynamic and
knowledgeable. I already had a flurry of ideas for products.

But while talking to Mike Filsaime on the phone about a week
after the seminar, he wanted to know if I would be going to
his seminar in September:

I said “I’d love to Mike, but I could only afford one event
this year and Denver was it.

He said “Nonsense! Let’s do a JV and you can earn your way!”

And the Mega Fire Sale idea was hatched.

Mike had made a comment that when you approach those
seemingly “untouchable” success about doing a JV - especially
when you are asking them to contribute a product - it makes
a WORLD of difference when they’ve met you face-to-face.

He was right about that. I have emailed a few of them in the
past and received no response. But after meeting them at the
seminar, my emails were answered promptly and they were ALL
very glad to donate. AND promote it!

I will say though, the hardest part was organizing everyone
and trying to get their contributions in a timely manner
while NOT becoming a pest!

But in the end, they all came through and were all very
gracious. Three of them even made products especially for
the sale.

All in all, it was loads of fun and a HUGE experience. I
learned so much that I can’t help but have a new vision
for my on line business.

I HIGHLY recommend you get to a seminar! Even if they are
“pitch-fests”. The chance to meet and make new relationships
with some very successful people make it very worth while.

The Mega Fire Sale MORE than paid for the Denver seminar and
the next one I will be attending in September in Phoenix, AZ.

Create A Realistic Plan For Success

Every one of us wants to be successful, but we often rely on
luck and chance to achieve our goals. Think of someone who
wants to get rich but only has one alternative: playing the
Lotto.

Of course, there are chances of becoming rich over night, but
how likely is it that this will actually happen? (It has been
said that your chances of getting struck by lightning are
MUCH greater than winning a Lotto).

Creating a realistic plan in order to achieve the desired
results is vital in any case, no matter how high or low your
hopes are.

The best way to do this is by taking successive steps and
gradually increasing your chances of reaching your ideal. As
a metaphor and compare your desires with a professional swim
meet. The first thing you need to do, in order to have a
chance of winning the race, is to make sure you are not
afraid of the water. Before you even consider entering the
race you have to eliminate your fears. They are the ones
holding you back. However, bear in mind, some of your fears
could save you from getting hurt.

Once you are convinced that your goal is worth fighting for,
you have to start the hardest stage in your plan:
preparation. You cannot expect to win a professional swim
meet when you don’t even know how to swim.

Start with the basics and never skip any steps simply to
reach your goal faster. The experience and knowledge you are
skipping will probably come back and hurt you later on.

Prepare by taking gradually increasing steps. Swim half a lap
first, and then move on to a full lap. Your skills will
progress each time and you will soon beat your own lap
records every time you enter the swimming pool.

It might take days, weeks or years to prepare for the “race”,
depending on what your goals are. The main thing is to enter
the race feeling confident in your own success and having all
the skills that would allow you to win.

Taking steps one at a time and keeping your plan realistic
gives you two important benefits. The order and precision of
a plan brings confidence. You don’t feel like you are
reengaging each new issue on a day-to-day basis. Organizing
your strategy reduces the chances of making wrong moves or
making less efficient decisions.

Secondly, having a sound plan has many psychological benefits
and your subconscious mind worries less, giving you more
energy to concentrate on what’s important. You are creating a
pattern in your awareness that accepts success and integrates
it in your plan.

When both your conscious and your subconscious mind believe
in your chances of reaching a goal, you benefit from a power
of concentration and focus that eliminate outside
interference and let you follow the shortest path to success.

Even though chance may still play an important role in your
quest to reach your ideal, having a realistic plan let’s you
change the “unlikely” into “possible”.
